Dear Friends,

I tried at least 4 times to write the details how our beloved friend passed away! But I can’t. But I know that only I must write something as you all are concern and curious to know the overall situation.

On 30th March around 05:13 pm, I called him and invite him to come Shahbag as the part of our regular adda. The exceptional things both of us that around one month he didn’t come to my house even we didn’t take a cup of tea as both we were busy. I must say its exception, because last 4 years its never been happened. I still remember his every words what he told me over phone. He told me that next day (31st March) he will change his resident from Sonargaon (near Sonargaon Museum) to Kanchpur (nearest his office) and 1st of April his wife will come. After that he along with his family will come to my house. Probably his last words were Longtime I didn’t see you.

Gias with friendsMost of our friends know about him but who are not aware, I just write few lines for them. After passing he managed his first job on 1997. Around 5 years he was almost jobless. After that he changed 2 jobs. As I know, from 2008 he got the financial ability to start his so called Sangsar with his family. He married on 1990 and after that he never been with his family in a house. He is going to start his Sangsar from 1st April. But all you know that 1st April we buried him in the ultimate house…….

On 30th March, he left his office on 07:26 pm record taken from computer. Then around 20~25 min require to reach the bus stand. After taking the bus it is around 25 min journey if there is no any traffic jam in Kancpur bridge. He talked his wife and his elder son for the last time on latest 07:30.

On 31st March at 06:15 am morning I got phone call from his wife. She informed that last night Gias didn’t back home and from 08:30 of previous night his mobile switched off. Immediately I called his nephew who resides in Mirpur and took with me and went at first Dhaka Medical college Hospital. By this time I sent one group to N. Gonj hospital and other to Sonargaon Health complex. From our company transport agency, I came to know that one bus accident happened in previous night and one dead body is lying in Sonargaon PS. That time we just finished checking in DMCH who were admitted last night as unknown person. My farm believes was that he might faced the OGGAYAN PARTY, who generally looted the money and mobile phone and after that the person can find in hospital. But when I got news from transport agency, then immediately sent one car with my official staffs to the Sonargaon PS. My staffs knew him very well. They reached there when I was near Gulistan. I almost confirm from their opinion. Finally I reached at 09:25 am with his nephew and found that its our Gias. There was only injury in face and head. From the Health Complex report sent to the PS, they wrote that they received the body at 08:50 pm by some unknown persons. Probably he was died by a road accident.Gias and Ali

I found one of his ex-colleagues who lives nearer to his residence and most of the time they seat together in a tea stall. That night he received phone call from Gias on 08:10 pm, Gias requested him to stay there as he would reach within 10 min. He waited there and at 08:30 pm he found switched off of Gias’s Mobile Phone. He thought probably his mobile phone battery became discharged. He finally left the place on 09:30 pm. Next day   someone told there one local bus (Borak Paribahan) got accident with S Alam Paribahan during overtake near Langalbondh. Only 5~6 min require to reach Mugrapara bus stand. After hearing his ex-colleague came to PS.

Gias with friendsAny way that time I just informed Sammi, Kibria and Labue to inform others. Personally I faced the legal matters and mange his family over phone. By this time his Colleagues came. Together we received the body and carried to N. Gonj hospital for post mortem. After that around 04:20 pm after Janaja, started the body for his hometown with a Freezing Ambulance and the ambulance reached at home on 12:30 am.

Finally we buried him in his family grave yard around 09:30 after 2 janaja (one in Gangni town and another in Hinda). Many of our friends were keeping communications on phone. You all know that Kibria with me for the last moment. What we faced there its really difficult to express. But I must mention following things:

His Father passed away on 1978 at the age of 44 yrs when Gias was the student of Class VIII. His elder sister was Class IX and younger two brothers was Class VI and Class I. Now the youngest brother is living in USA and the younger brother is a private college teacher.
His mother retired from 2006 as the head mistress in the same school where his wife is working. In the year 2000, his only sister became widow with her 2 sons and 1 daughter. His brother-in-law was only 43 years at that time.Gias is also left their family when he is 43 yrs. His eldest son just appeared SSC and other twin sons are now in Class IV.

I am really impressed to see the bonding of 85’s. I really believe we never get back Gias but together we must help his family as desired by him. I am that fellow who knows most of his dreams and realities of Gias. I also appreciate the extended support of our friends and well wishers. I am also agreed with others who believes that financial support is now urgently required for this family. Together we can do it.

I always keep communication with his family. His wife will come mid of this month to my house for fulfilling the official formalities in his office.

That’s all for this time. I will keep you update time to time.
